The Koi is a special kind of ornamental fish, rather a unique form of carp. In the Japanese named "Nishikigoi" which means "colorful carp. By rearing in different colors in an "red carp", the Koi originated in multiple variations over several centuries, which can be accurately controlled or recognized.

The Koi feels most comfortable in particulary standing water with fresh water inlet and continuous temperatures of 20-24°C.  On the entire world, the Koi is widespread and popular because of its variety of colors, extreme body size, socialization and a high age (under good conditions, a Koi of age 30 with a lenght of 90 cm is no problem).

Our Koi will be imported from Japan in the range between 7-15 cm and will be reared up in our basins in the Oberlausitz. We currently have approximately 12.000 koi of various sizes and varieties in stock.
